Thread: looking into LapBand surgery does anyone have blue cross blue shield insurance...?

Wanting know what and if there is any coverage for this procedure. or what hoops I have to go through in order to be eligible.

blue sheild says they cover bariatric surgery, but they will not pay the Dr.for the lap band surgery.
They will cover the hospital though. So it will cost you nearly $9,000 to have it .
Try to fight with the ins. company but they will win.
You will have to have all the pre op tests and get cleared both mentally and physically for this.
