Thread: Has anyone financed the Lapband procedure? What was the total price financed and how was your credit score?

Unfortunately my insurance company makes it very difficult to get approval for the surgery and I know alot of places offer financing. I was wondering if anyone has ever financed the procedure and other information such as: what was the total price financed, the interest rate given and how good was your credit history/score? I am actually considering this based on the facts. Thanks in advance.
By the way I do have what some websites consider a co-morbid disease, Asthma, But my insurance, Aetna, only will cover if you have diabetes, hypertension or sleep apnea....I know there is a way longer list of co-morbid diseases so will those three be all that they will most likely stick by or is there a chance that mine can be approved even though they state it has to be one of the three I listed above?

Challenge your insurance company. If you have any health issues secondary to obesity (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) there is a good chance that you can get them to pay even though they are fighting it now. I saw that you can get it done in Mexico for $7500 including airfare and hotel and a lot of the doctors there finance the surgery.
