I just learned that women can also take protein shakes that are commonly used by men. I always thought that those huge containers of protein powders are so intimidating and the people who only use those are men who work out. Protein is food and there isn't specific food for men and women, right? However, men and women have different body types, develop differently, and have different nutrition needs. That's why they also created products specifically for women. Protein powders for women are have higher iron, vitamin b6, and folic acid content and they tend to be lower carbs and fats and are absorbed quicker by the body. Just watch out on the sodium content as many of the delicious and most tasty protein powders have higher sodium content. Soy proteins are great for dieters because it's low in GI and it's fat free! I hope these info help other women like I do about choosing protein powders. I'd love to hear products/brands you have already tried that works for you as I am considering one myself but doing my research before I decide which one to get![]()
