Default do protein and meal replacement bars help on a diet?

just want to know everyones opinion on meal replacement bars. every once in a while if im on the go ill grab one instead of a candy bar or ill grab one for breakfast instead of doughnuts and such. are they good for you?

i say no, and i would not "replace" my meals, I love them too much. Plus I don't eat anything that was created in a lab.
