Your baby is bright! Lets face it given the choice of being alone in his cot or snuggling up to the most important person in his life he is gonna choose the latter. He has soon learned how to get his way. He is doing it for comfort and closeness, not because he is hungry. I went through this and it can be exhausting. Try cool boiled water in between a feed just to make sure he isnt just thirsty.

It is a growth spurt and really normal. Just nurse and he'll be fine. Grab some water and a movie. That's what saved me with my 3.

growth spurts = baby needs to eat more. that happens at about 6 weeks. looks like hes right on time. it'll pass. i would skip on the formula

HA! some of these answers are crazy- the only reason your doc is saying to use formula is not for the baby it's for you- dont do it- the only way to build up your supply is having the baby nurse- just about every nursing mother has gone through this and it stops trust me- soon you'll be fighting with them to stop playing and nurse lol- if your baby is gaining weight then there is NO reason to not nurse
