Default Give me a boost! zzzzzzzzzz?

I am 35, eat somewhat healthy, & usually get rest. I have started to gain weight after being the same size my entire adult life. I need exercise but I am ALWAYS exhausted when I get home from work (I have a sit down job). No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to find enough energy to do anything! Please help! All I want to do is lay down. This has been for the past 6 months (I am not pregnant by the way). I have tried vitamins but they taste so bad they make me gag. Is there any safe energy supplements?

Just get up and get moving! Once you do that it should get your adrenaline going. Go for a walk. Somewhat healthy? Kick the carbs and sugars out and eat healthy. If the vitamins taste bad try one you can guzzle down with water. Be sure to eat before taking any vitamin or you will feel really really sick!

I know it sounds like a cliche but exercising will actually give you more energy. If you make yourself exercise say 4 times a week after about 2 weeks it will be a habit and you will hate missing those sessions. If you do a high enough intensity you will get a real rush from it that can be addictive! Try to do 20-30 minute cardio sessions. And a few days a week do some toning exercises - you can do them on the floor in front of the TV! Crunches and push ups show big results. There are some exercises here: http://www.abc-of-fitness.com/info/fitness-exercises.asp Vitamin capsules shouldn't have any taste if you swallow them whole, see what you can find.

Also, if you are putting on weight you might need to adjust your calories. As we get older we need less to keep our bodies going. Try dropping by a couple of hundred a day and see how you go. Maybe cut out all drinks except water for a start.

Go to the doctors and have a complete check up (just to make sure there is no medical reason for you feeling this way)...then if everything check out ok.....you need to spoil yourself!!...Go on a holiday somewhere and just do something for yourself. I find sometimes when I lack energy, it's because I seem to be in a rut of doing the same things everyday, and taking on everyone else's problems.
Treat yourself to a psychological overhaul.

    This is interesting.
I was watching tv the other day (NBC's Today show) and they said that the best way to gain energy is going for a walk! Not a run, not a jog...just a nice stroll.

Do you get a lunch break at work? Can you possibly walk around your building or go outside for a stroll during a break? Or get up to give a mesg. to another co-worker rather than sending an e-mail (if you work in a big place that is)...

OR just make it a weekend thing. On your days off try to get in a nice 30 minute walk...if you have a family this could be a great family activity, even if you just do it once a week (once is better than nothing)...
Being outside in the sunlight (make sure to put on some sunblock) and in the fresh air might help to give you the little boost that your looking for.

Eat protein and fiber at every meal. Fiber requires your metabolism to work harder, giving you an extra boost and protein will fire up your muscles. Stay away from caffeine as it will backfire on you.

I dought their are very many safe energy supplements, all the ones i have tried make me gittery and i don't like them. My mom uses hydroxycut and she seems to like that one. But you can alway google supplements and see the best selling one with user's comments about each one, i just don't remember the website i saw all that on. If your exhausted when you get home or just don't feel like going out to a gym you should try the exercise videos you can do them in the privacy of your own home or try the 6 sec abs or cross crunch. With those you can sit on the couch and watch tv and do them!! I have recently been gaining a little weight and i have been the same size for around 3 years and it just may be heredity fault that we are putting on weight.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh yes there are tons of energy supplements!..haha. Dont drink any of those enegry drinks though because those will give you energy for 10 minutes then will make you "crash" after that and you will feel even more tired than before.

I recommend Ginseing pills, and not just the standard ones you find at the grocery store. I recommend going to GNC Health Stores and asking them what they recommend since you are a woman. I used to take Ginseing pills but no longer need to because im in shape, but since you dont sound like you excersize im going to recommend taking them because they will start you off just right

Also, i would recommend drinking coffee. Dont add sugar's or creams or anything fancy like that. Just drink it black. Yes i said black .hahaha. And dont be afraid to make it so strong that theres black sut in the bottom of your cup Drink this on an empty stomach and you will be surprised at how you feel!
