Default Would P90X benefit more for weight loss or muscle buildup?

I see and hear so much about this program.....a friend of mine said it's good if you want to loose weight. What about for someone who is looking into bulking up a bit?
Would it help? Any suggestions or comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's a very powerful yet strenuous form of exercise. I heard that it is a great program for endurance. It isn't so much about strength as it is about getting toned. It does help in bulking up too but I have also read that you have to have the commitment to go through it go get the best results.

As a P90x-er myself, the program can really go in whichever direction you want it to...granted you probably will not bulk up as much as you would if you were doing some sort of intense weight training at the gym. From my experience with it, the program is reaaaaallly good at getting you pretty much straight up cut if youre already in pretty good shape, and by adding heavier weight to the excercises of course will fill you out more then just using resistance bands, and lil 10-15 pound dumbells. But IMO...p90x isnt necessarily the best idea for bulking up, but i guarantee you if you apply urself to the program (cause trust me it is very easy to kinda fall off track with it all since its a very upbeat, sumwat fast pased program)then you will have a killer foundation once done with it. You will find that ur developing core muscle groups that are often left out in regular weight training...thus you will be able to take that into the gym, and see some crazy bulking up because you will be able to really do ur weight training with nice solid, clean movements. Dear lord im ramblin a bit haha anyways i hope i helped out a bit.
