    Default Just Just started today

    Hey everyone!

I'm excited to have started p90x today. I did the back and chest today and found out how weak I really am. I could not do more than 10 of anything and that was with the assistance of a chair for pull ups and knee push ups. I could also barely do the ab ripper afterwords as my back became really really sore trying to hold the positions. It is now 3 hours later but I feel pretty good in all. I'm following the nutrition plan well, and i'm not hungry, but I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through the same thing and how did it improve.

    Thanks!

I haven't tried any program before but I heard that p90x is very strenuous and will need a lot of commitment from you. The soreness I think is normal when you start with any exercise routine. Good luck and we'd love to hear more news from you . Welcome to diet forums!

P90X is what they call a hardcore workout and I read that some who have used the similar workout have been hospitalized with skeletal breakdown called rhabdomylosis. This workout is not for everyone because of the difficulty of this program. I think the soreness and the pain is normal since you push your body to your limit. Listen to your body and stop when you think you are doing too much than you can handle.

It's sad that people who are only trying to lose weight and have a great body are suffering. If it's too much for your body to take, might as well stop it and choose another workout program because what good is this workout if it will cause you skeletal breakdown. It's also best to consult an expert if your body can take it or not. If you think it's difficult don't continue with it.

P90x is recommended for people who want to take their fitness level to the extreme. It is not a good idea to do it if you are a beginner and you are not used to the pain. I have been doing P90x but I do it little by little until my body can take it.

When you use a program like P90X you have the advantage over other fitness programs because it tells you exactly what to do to get the body you want. You will have DVDs that progressively take you forward depending on your own speed and ability. You don't have to worry about keeping up with anyone because you can always stop the DVD and start it again. Tony Horton is really good at keeping the 'average' person in mind when he is directing the fitness routine. He is a great coach and can help you stay motivated and in tune to each workout.
