Default Vegetarian diet help?

I'm a vegetarian female fifteen year old, five foot seven, one hundred and thirty pounds. [I'm no robot!!]
I'm quite comfortable with my weight even though i have abundant flaws, [duh. who doesn't?] mainly my bum and thighs. I'm just looking to get healthy. I eat a lot of snack foods and pizza, and I know that isn't good for my developing body. Does anyone have and good advice for a meal plan? I figure that is my best bet. I also need a quick exercise. [jumping rope?] I have work + school to handle. a workout to tone up, well not tone up, just lose fat on my lower half [AKA inner thighs, outer thighs, bum] I don't have time to get out to the gym. I don't eat fish. Sometimes I eat organic eggs, ones from free range chickens. I don't eat much tofu because it grosses me out, but if you have any recipes that could ease me into eating tofu or other fake meats all help would be appreciated. I do like fake bacon though. I have to take advantage of this quick metabolism while I have it.

My daughter is also a vegetarian/vegan. You can make just about any meal with Bocca, Morning Star and so on. Keep in mind though that pasta is fattening and when you eat make sure you do not go over board and eat in moderation well balanced meals

Buy some TVP (texurized vegetable protein) and substitute it for the mince in spaghetti bolagnase.. shepards pie.. lasange.. burger patties.. burritos.. tacos.. curry mince+cabbage... the list goes on! And the best thing is.. it tastes, feels and looks exactly like real mine and is CHOCKA full of yummy protein!

Also; make some tofu fingers! Cut marinated tofu into strips, coated in a mix of soymilk+flour then coat in breadcrumbs and cook them in the oven or fry-pan. I had them today and they were yuuummmy.

well, with food sometimes you just gotta be careful with what you put in your mouth. Things like fake meats will quite likely contain a lot of preservatives, additives and chemicals you don't know, so its a good idea not to eat too much of it. I know that here, we can get vegetarian ham, which is made from soy beans. These are good for strict vegans. But again, you should limit your intake with these foods.
For tofu, there are various ways to cook it. You can deep fry it, eaten raw with a dash of soy sauce (although you'll need to be absolutely certain that the tofu hasn't been contaminated), or you can chop them up into smaller pieces, and stir fry them with other vegetables, such as capsicum, carrots, or as a noodles/rice dish, flavoured with salt, add some soy sauce and any seasonings you think may make the dish taste better. Experiment with different ingredients, and eventually you'll find a set you'll stick to and like
I'm not a vegetarian, but I think you can eat wholegrain bread. They're much healthier than plain white bread, and you can choose from a large variety of mixes (e.g. sunflower seeds etc). Study shows that around 90% of people around the world don't eat enough of it. Whole grains have been proven to reduce heart disease. You can gradually change your diet, from half white, half whole grain sandwiches, and eventually eat only whole grain bread.

I found some sites that you may be interested in. I've read the ingredients in the recipes, and they seem ideal. From the sounds of it, you sound like a really healthy teenager, so I wouldn't worry too much about losing weight. Good luck in finding your ideal foods

Quick exercise--walk up and down stairs any chance you can get. Trust me--I went up 14 flights of stairs at work and it was harder than walking a half-marathon.

See links below for ideas on food/nutrition. Also, drink soy milk.
