I usually just get a garden salad pack at the grocery store and add dressing. Not too much though coz gotta watch the calories. that's about as veggetarian as I get.

I'm really looking for some cheap recipe's that won't take a lot of preperation beforehand (up to an hour and a half prep and cooking is fine.)

I'm trying to cut our shopping bill down so we can save some money to go home in the middle of the year.
Vegetable Frankie is the cheap vegetarian diet. You just need a chapati made out of fine wheat flour, some potatoes, onions, capsicum and one cheese cube. However, this item is high on calories. But what is important is that it is a full meal and you can keep yourself full for a few hours. It has more calories but it will really be cheaper and tastier.

Yes..I have a very good idea. If you love soups then there are various kinds of vegetarian soups available which will also be cheap. But rather than buying ready to eat packets from market, it is advisable to use the fresh veggies and make soups at home. You just need to boil the raw veggies like spinach, tomatoes, bottle guard, beans etc. and then blend it and the heat it for use. You can use salt and pepper for taste.
