Just eat lots of fruits and veggies, raw, as they are. That's the healthiest you could eat. Add a hard boiled egg, or a cube or two of lowfat cheese, a slice of whole grain bread, and you've got a whole meal.

Pasta Salad

Make a meal out of a salad!!

This salad has it all - cooked ham, fresh grapes, Cheddar cheese, and a dill dressing. Use your favorite pasta shape to make this salad your own.

INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups farfalle pasta
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups seedless green grapes, halved
2 cups diced ham
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 1/2 cups diced sharp Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS
Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain, and rinse in cold water.
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, cider vinegar, mustard, sugar, black pepper, dill weed, and salt.
In a large bowl, combine pasta, grapes, ham, green onions, and cheese. Toss with dressing. Cover, and chill overnight or for at least 6 hours

Get a Weight Watchers cookbook. You can find them at any bookstore. I have 5, and use them often. You'd be surprised at how yummy 'diet' food can be!

eating light is not difficult. it's just a matter of adjusting the standard recipes you already like.

use less butter. skim milk. cooking spray instead of oil. use lean meats like poultry and fish instead of red meat. buy reduced or low fat versions of products. fill your dishes with extra vegetables to make the meals more hearty. use garlic and other spicy vegetables to increase taste without increasing calories. eat fruits instead of cookies and cakes.

becoming vegetarian is not a method to lose weight. it's a lifestyle choice based on personal morals.

3 large ripe tomatoes, halved crosswise and seeded
3 teaspoons sherry vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Sugar
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil or cilantro leaves
2 tablespoons snipped fresh chives
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Using a grater over a wide bowl, hold the rounded side of a tomato half and rub the cut side against the large holes of the grater until all that remains is the skin; discard the skin. Repeat with remaining tomato halves. Stir sherry vinegar into the tomato soup and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled.

Sir the soup well and ladle into chilled shallow bowls. Drizzle each serving with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle the basil and chives on top. Serve immediately.
