I absolutely love smoothies! They are an excellent form of getting live food into your system that taste great and are a good source of fiber. One of the great things about smoothies is that they are so easy to make. Just throw a bunch of ingredients into the blender, add some ice, some liquid (juice, water or milk) and you are done. I would like to share the following delicious smoothie recipes:
BLUSHED BANANA SMOOTHIE
1 large banana
2 handfuls of ripe strawberries
1 cup of fresh apple juice
6-10 cubes of ice
1 sprig of mint
First add the ice and the apple juice. Crush the ice until the substance is smooth and then add the remaining ingredients.
KIWI DELIGHT SMOOTHIE
5 kiwis
1 ripe banana
Peel the kiwis and cut the bananas into chunks. Put into a blender and blend until
smooth. This smoothie is rich in vitamin B6 which promotes healthy skin. It is also a good source of magnesium and potassium.
TROPICAL GREEN SMOOTHIE
1 head romaine or any green leafy vegetable
2 cups water
1 banana
1/2 pineapple, skin and core removed
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
GRAPE COOLER SMOOTHIE
Large handful of red seedless grapes, stems removed
Basket of fresh or frozen strawberries, stems removed
1 banana, peeled
1/2 head romaine lettuce
Put grapes at the bottom of blender to create enough liquid to blend the other ingredients; add a little water, if needed. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
