I was thinking of starting tomorrow. I want to lose weight before june 10. if i do this diet and run for about 20 minutes everyday, do you think i can lose 20lbs? Thanks!!

yes you could loose the wieght,although diets are so difficult to maintain, mainly focus on your exercise.......I have never tried southbeach.
I have tried the South Beach diet and had great results! I was so addicted to carbs though, I thought I would never get over my cravings.
But after about 3 days of sticking it out I noticed my stomach starting to deflate, it was like magic!! I stuck with the diet for 14 days and lost 10 pounds. And I felt so much better! I used to get stomach aches to and they went away.
I agree with you mikaela! The key to every weight loss success is dedication and commitment, but we should also bear in mind that being slim is different from staying fit. Staying healthy and losing weight should be the goal and not just shedding fats just to stay slim.
Controlling your calorie intake is very difficult especially if you are surrounded by tempting and delightful food that you used to love. My sister can eat anything she wants to eat and still don't gain weight. She had a baby and she's still slim as I am when all I do is count calories and make sure I don't go beyond my limit. It's tiring but I have to do it if I don't want to be fat again. It's stressful at first but seeing the results is well worth it.
What you are doing is really difficult and you have to pat yourself on the back and be proud of your achievement because it's not easy to do that.
Thanks sasa! Yeah it really is not easy because it is struggle all the time. I also get tempted but I never lose control. That makes everything hard because you want to eat but you're fighting with yourself as to not gain more pounds anymore. However the hard work really pays off because it works and it has helped me maintain my weight.
Whatever diet plans you are in if you don't have self control and discipline it will be hard to see any good results.
That's right shairawilliams. Self control and discipline is indeed the key to successfully lose weight. You also need patience. Don't lose hope if you're not seeing the results after a week or two. Just stick to your diet plan and you will surely see the difference in time.
