The Atkins Diet costs $100 according to Forbes. I have not tried it but I read that the critics call it dangerous and irresponsible. However many still believed and tried the diet that in 2001 alone Dr. Robert Atkins earned $6 million.

I guess weight gain is a great deal to everyone that's why people will believe whatever is best promoted and often advertised to help lose weight. But I think that we have to be vigilant and protect ourselves and research on the weight loss product first before taking any pills because it maybe dangerous to your health. We have to be aware of its health risks to also protect ourselves. I managed to lose weight with my own diet plan and it did not cost me a dime.

That is right. I think that people enjoy eating and we get comfort from them that's why we gain weight. Depressed people are also looking at it as a gateway to feeling better. I guess it's difficult to control our craving especially on junk foods because it just states so good. I know everyone agrees with me on that. However I also believe that it is all in the mind and we can choose eat right if we really want to. We can control the craving and lose weight and need not spend too much on weight loss products. For some though who cannot find the strength to control their calorie consumption and needs help from pills and program, they need to get all the information they can on the pros and the cons of certain pill or plan to know that it is safe. Plus you also avoid wasting your hard earned money on weight loss programs that is not good for you.

We cannot blame the dieters for wanting to spend a lot to lose weight because they may not have the time and strength to do that either. If you still don't lose weight after all the efforts, I have to say that it is time to seek for professional help.

I agree with you viktoria. Health conditions really does affect our weight, especially if you are a woman with hormonal imbalance. Our doctors know our family history and they will be able to help find the answer why you are not losing weight despite taking all measures.
