Thread: can the prenatal vitamins can cause yeast infection?

i am taking vitamins, i just started a 3-4 days ago, and now i got a yeast infection. i did not do anything. i am taking the centrum materna vitamins.

I have never heard of this. And I should be a pro at pre-natal vitamins since I have had 7 children! There must be something else going on & it is just a coincidence!

the increase in hormones during pregnancy alone can cause a yeast infection. i dont think the vitamins have anything to do with it...

As far as I know, Yeast infections are caused by bacteria but just to be sure, I would say you take multi vitamins but not prenatal. You can also talk to your doctor about it.

This is the first time that I've heard that a vitamin or supplement can cause yeast infection. I always thought it was just caused by poor hygiene.
