    Default Safe consumption of Vitamin C?

    I have just starting taking around 2gms of Vitamin C as I have heard its good for preventing colds/flu - is this a safe amount?

    The recommended daily allowance for men is 90 mg and for women is 75 mg. Large doses (more than 2000 milligrams per day) may cause nausea, kidney stones, and diarrhea.

    Oh, I didn't know there are side effects if you take too much vitamin C.. Thanks for the info mikaela.

    I didn't know that either. I thought it was just okay. I don't think I would over take over 2000 miligrams of vitamin c though. I was just surprised that there are negative effects if even you took too much
