    Default Vitamin D Side effects

Are there any side effects for vitamin D? I read that vitamin d causes bone fractures. Is that true? I thought it helps prevent bone fracture not cause them. Maybe I just read it wrong. Can someone enlighten me?

I didn't know that. Side effects, yes but bone fracture? We need like 5mcg of vitamin D a day so having too much is bad for the bones?

As long as you stay on the recommended limit, you should be fine. I read that there was a study where women were injected 500,000 IU of vitamin D and they had more fractures. Another study where participants were injected around 300,000IU of vitamin D, the findings, fractures were reduced.
