This recent article from science daily caught my attention and could be a good news to prostate cancer patients:

Survival rates of men with prostate cancer might soon be increased with a new vitamin E (known as tocotrienol or T3) treatment which could significantly reduce tumour regrowth.

Existing chemotherapy and hormonal therapy treatment of prostate cancer was insufficient because it failed to kill off the prostate cancer stem cells which were believed to be responsible for the regrowth of tumours. However, the research team have discovered a particular form of T3, called gamma-tocotrienol (γ-T3), can successfully kill off the prostate cancer CSCs.

This is a very expensive research and has been funded by Davos Life Science in Singapore. Hopefully we hear more news and development on this research that will give more hope to those prostate cancer patients.
